Staff Survey Results and Analysis
  • What questions do we have?
  • What actions can/should we take?
  • Does anything rise to the point of being an improvement goal?
  1. Divide group into two discussion groups; each discussion group will review the data and identify 3 strengths and 3 challenges.
    1. Group 1 Action Items: Job description activity, more robust calendar system (define guidelines), general procedural clarifications (lunch breaks vs working through lunch etc.)
    2. Group 1 Positives: ESU 17 has a good "work culture", continuing education requests almost always approved, great relationship with our districts.
    3. Group 1 Challenges: Mental health issues trainings, adult learner trainings, mentorship program for new employees,
    4. Group 1 Agency Goal Possibilities: Mental health training, resources available, appropriate protocols to deal with issues that come up.
  2. Groups come back together and share.
  3. As a whole group, come to consensus on challenges that warrant a response (action).
  4. Determine whether challenges should rise to the level of an agency goal or whether more data is needed (and how that data can be collected). If a challenge can be adequately addressed in 1-2 simple actions, a specific goal is not necessary.
  5. Identify specific actions needed to address challenges.

Dates were shared. Follow-up discussion on Brad Geise data training needs to happen so that he is aware of what this training needs to look like.

This will be addressed at the Fall ESU #17 Principal Meeting to see if time could be incorporated into in-service time to maximize the response rate.
